I wasn't aware until I did the research on attractions/ sites recommended for tourists to Guangzhou, and extended the search to Foshan, since we are putting up in that area.
Zimou 祖庙 appeared as one of the historical sites - a rare one, I thought. Yes, it dated back to the Song Dynasty, and had undergone some transformation over time. Another pleasant one is the opportunity to see the Guan Yin statue in Xiqiao - similar to the Buddha in Lantau island. The conversations with the locals further affirms these are major religious sites not to be missed. Am pleased to have the opportunity to cover them in this trip - which are far much worth than going to other sites.
