Delicacy for Canton food - what else would we expect from Guangdong? We had great food in this trip. However, to be more precise, it's from restaurants; and definitely not from the roadside stall.
What roadside stalls offered were mostly well-known local delights; nevertheless, its quality is definitely a far cry from that of the restaurants. It's been tested and proven true - at least with the dessert, milk pudding.
In this trip, one dish that stood out is the 顺德传统粥水火锅 - steamboat with the porridge. To ensure that food is not overcooked, a server is there to put the various items, one at a time into the pot, and take them out after the stipulated duration.
In terms of dim sum, it does not offer as wide a variety as in Singapore or Hong Kong. Something we noticed is, there are more dim sum with beef in Guangdong than in Singapore. This applies to the lunch/ dinner dishes, too. And certainly, roasted goose is something easily available in restaurants!

Had the opportunity to go into the restaurants that are as big as a convention hall, and they come with huge screens for the patrons! Am awed by the size!
